In order to celebrate the exclusive Blockbuster Online release of the DVD for Stephen King’s “The Mist,” BlueLime was asked to recreate pivotal sets from the movie in 3d. Working with GuyDineen Design for the first time, BlueLime created CG scenes and ”walkthroughs” of 3 sections of the movie that are being used as part of an online game in which the objective is to “escape the mist.” Check out the website here: The Mist Movie DVD, and make sure to play the game……be careful on the second level, it’s pretty difficult!

In addition to the CG scenes, our Motion Graphics department was responsible for post production effects and color correction of the sequences as well as FLV compression for the final output. Also custom sound effects were created to bring the monsters and levels alive in the game.

the Mist is a thinker for sure, pretty good all around, except a lot of the character conflict was really predictable…
is it me, or did those insect-like aliens have human teeth?
